Welcome to your studio hotel room where you will find all the comforts of home plus a whole lot more. Here are a few things you might find helpful during your stay.

Air Conditioning:

Your room is fitted with a wall-mounted air conditioning unit controller located in the entry way of your room. The units are pre-set on automatic mode and 24 degrees for your comfort. Temperature can be adjusted between 22 and 26 degrees. In order for the air conditioning to operate please ensure all doors are closed. If you require any further assistance please contact our friendly team by dialling 9 from your in room phone.

Amenities:

What is the essence of essence? Tanya Ambrosini is the talented Sunshine Coast aromatherapist who was given the task of creating the essence signature scent.

Tanya is the mother, maker and creative behind Botanist Aromatherapy. A boutique essential oil and selfcare brand that focuses on emotional support, empowerment, and self-love.

Her signature scent for essence can be found in our bathroom amenities, our hand and body wash, our body lotion and it is misted into each room by our housekeeping team each time a room is serviced. You can also smell it on arrival in our reception area.

Echoing the natural elements surrounding essence such as the pristine waters of Peregian Beach and the natural landscape of the national park on our doorstep, Tanya intertwined the exact components from nature to bring about the feelings we want to feel when we are on holiday - relaxation, emotional balance, and comfort.

These are the elements that make up the essence signature scent and the feelings they evoke:

Tangerine: promotes happiness, calming, helps with anxiety and nervousness.

Lavender: calming, relaxing & balancing, both physically & emotionally.

Rose Geranium: relaxing, ease nervous tension, fosters peace, wellbeing, and hope.

Ylang Ylang: balance masculine/feminine energies, combats anger, restores confidence and peace.

Black Spruce: release emotional blocks, bringing about a feeling of balance and grounding.

Chamomile: dispels anger, stabilises emotions, calming, soothes and clears the mind.

You can take home a little piece of essence to remember your stay with the specially curated selection of beautiful essence products created by Tanya exclusively for essence in our Gift Shop. From essential oils and bath salts, room spray to candles, the essence of essence is now yours to take home.

An exclusive shampoo and conditioner range has been created by Coolum Beach based organic hair care brand, EverEscents. A vegan, organic, high quality formula combined with a fresh mint aroma to excite the senses and keep our guests hair healthy.

Please enjoy our signature product range while staying at essence. Hair care and body product pump bottles removed from the room will be charged to your account.

Bath Robes:

Our luxury cotton bathrobes have been exclusively made for essence by Sunshine Coast label Lilya and dyed in exclusive colours. Embroidered with our logo and available in size S-M and L-XL, one of each size has been placed in your room. If you would like a different size to the one given, please contact reception.

Mini-bar:

The mini-bar refrigerator is fully stocked with a selection of local goodies for your enjoyment. Please Click here for a menu and price list.

All hotel rooms have a Nespresso coffee machines and coffee pods loaded with Outer Square’s in-house blend and a selection of teas for your sipping pleasure. If you need more pods they are available at reception for a small fee.

Housekeeping:

Our housekeeping team will be onsite daily to assist with your cleaning requirements to make your experience comfortable. If you have any special requirements, please contact our reception team.

Please note: If you prefer privacy and have left your ‘Relaxing, I need some space’ sign on your door, your room will not be serviced. If you take down this notice during the day and want your room maintained, please get in touch with reception. Room cleaning is between 8am and 3pm, requests after 3pm may not be able to be met.

Iron, ironing boards and hair dryers are provided in your room. Additional blankets, pillows, towels and amenities are available through reception by dialling 9 from your in room phone.

Should you require a baby cot, 24 hours’ notice is required for our off-site supplier.

Servicing of Hotel Rooms:

Housekeeping service is daily for hotel guests. In-line with our environmental policy, hotel guests daily service includes: fresh towels, bed made (sheets changed every three nights), bathroom and floors cleaned with environmentally-friendly products, amenities topped up, mini-bar and tea and coffee restocked, rubbish removed and recycled, room sanitised and deodorised.

Our studio rooms receive a daily turn down service in the evening to refresh your room.

Should you wish to contribute to helping us reduce our environmental footprint, you can choose our ‘enviro-clean’ option by hanging your towels back on the racks to reuse them during your stay and opting to have your room cleaned every three days. Please refer to the information card in your room and let reception know your preference.
